あけましておめでとうございます。
皆様にとって2010年が幸せな年でありますようお祈りしております。
今年は、更なる勉学に努めボランティア活動に生かしていきたいと思っております。

New Year's Greetings.
My best wishes to you for a happy and healthy new year!
One of my new year's resolutions is to make progress in my study of English.
I want to understand science articles and documentary TV programs like from the Discovery channel or National geographic channel.
And I'll apply my learning to practical interpretation.
I think there're several hurdles to cross before we reach my goal but I'll try it.
What are yours?

I had a "nabe" party with my friends last night.
The soup was mixed with tasty cheese and miso.
It was so strnge to me but it was dericious.
It's hard for me to describe the taste well.Maybe like thin cheese fondue?
Anyway this nabe soup might be gaining popularity in Japan because the retort-pouch soup is sold in some supermarkets.



「昨日、友人と鍋をした」という話を↑のように語った時に
アメリカの方が「『鍋』とはどんな料理ですか？」と聞かれ、言葉に詰りました。

。。。もっと簡単に美味しさを表現できればと思っています。

東京国立博物館にて開催中の土偶展に行ってきました。

縄文時代のものと感じさせないモダンな展示でした。
展示品横に書いてある英語解説も勉強になりました。
2月まで開催中のようなので、東京に用事のある方は是非。

Even though all the statues were made in ancient Japan, I felt that they were like modern art.
The good taste with which they were displayed must be why.


Three national treasures were assembled in one hall and I was so proud that one of them had been discovered in my hometown Hakodate.

最近lang-8で友人になったアメリカ人2名
どちらもキットカットについて熱く日記を書いております
「日本では焼き芋あじのキットカットがあるらしい!!」
「クリスマス、家族にイチゴあじのキットカットをプレゼントしたい」
。。。これは日本だけに色々なフレーバーがあるということなのでしょうか???

函館に観光にこられる方々に地域限定をさしあげるのも話題のタネになるかもしれませんね。
ちなみに北海道は夕張メロンあじと焼きとうもろこしあじみたいです。

オプションを使わなければ無料で学べます。

友人をつくって、その方に添削してもらったりしてあげたりするなんて素敵ですよね。
私もかなり直され、赤ペンだらけです。
もうすこしサラリと英作文ができるようになったら、ここでもＵＰしたいと思います。
